Occupational cancer risk factors in Europe – summary of the methodology of the Workers’ Exposure Survey
Keywords:The EU-OSHA Workers’ Exposure Survey on cancer risk factors in Europe (WES) offers data and insights on workers’ probable exposure during their last working week to 24 known cancer risk factors. WES was conducted in Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Hungary and Finland in 2023.
This publication provides an overview of how WES was developed, based on the Australian Work Exposures Study and the OccIDEAS tool, and adapted to the EU context. It summarises as well how the survey was made fit for purpose and how it was implemented.
