Micro and small enterprises in Europe (MSEs): How can we make sure they are safe, healthy and productive places to work?

In 2014, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) launched a 3-year project to help improve occupational safety and health (OSH) outcomes for all micro and small enterprises (MSEs) across Europe. The overall aims are to provide support for evidence-based policy recommendations and to identify key success factors in terms of policies, strategies and practical solutions to improve OSH in MSEs. The results of the first phase of the project presented in the report on ‘Contexts and arrangements for occupational safety and health in micro and small enterprises in the EU’ were discussed with the key interest groups at a policy workshop that took place on 28 June 2016 in Brussels.
