In order to improve decision-making, EU-OSHA undertakes both ex ante and ex post evaluations according to article 29 of the Financial Regulation. Evaluations are implemented to assess whether the Agency’s work is useful to users, adds value to the work done by others and in general objectives have been met.
Evaluations are carried out on the basis of a multiannual evaluation programme which is aligned to the multiannual programming cycle.
A general evaluation of the Agency and its performance is commissioned every five years. Since 2019, this general evaluation is carried out by the Commission.
